This Palácio de Seteais elopement was stunning. Vanessa and Francesco chose Sintra, Portugal, as the backdrop for their intimate ceremony, and everything about the day was perfect. It was such a joy to photograph them and to be included in this special day.
Vanessa is a shoe designer from Brazil and is actively involved in the fashion world. It was important to her that the day have a fashion-forward and editorial feel. Francesco didn’t want to throw a big party, but Vanessa convinced him to elope in Portugal. It was truly the most beautiful day and perfect for what they both wanted.
Vanessa was a dream bride. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and they were both a joy to be around. She loves photography and fashion and scheduled her elopement date around my calendar. It was such an honor.
We started the day with bridal portraits in a stunning ceremony dress by Carlos Bacchi, a top Brazilian designer. The touches of tulle were exquisite and beyond beautiful with her veil. She finished the look with the most beautiful one-of-a-kind shoes. They were designed especially for her by Capodarte.
The two exchanged their vows under a beautiful tree decorated by Claudia Perdigão, a talented Portuguese floral designer. The location was breathtaking, and the simple color palatte was a perfect choice. They had a beautiful ceremony, with heart-warming messages from their family and friends.
After their ceremony, Vanessa changed into her second look. She chose a playful mini dress and classic Manolo Blahnik heels. We had the most fun with an editorial-style bridal portrait session in her getting-ready space before their intimate reception.
To end their day, they enjoyed a delicious dinner by a Michelin chef at the Palacio de Seteais. They also had a beautiful cake and champagne toast. I can’t think of a more romantic way to end an elopement.
