This cozy North Carolina wedding has us daydreaming about Fall already. Jeff and Reid’s wedding was photographed by one of my amazing associate photographers, and I love how she documented the day!
Like so many around the world, Reid and Jeff postponed their wedding three times due to Covid. They opted to elope during the pandemic but were finally able to celebrate with their family and friends in April.
Though they live in Colorado, they love spending time in their family’s lake house in Glenville. It was important to them to celebrate with their loved ones in this special place. Reid and Jeff are such a laid-back couple and wanted their wedding day to reflect that. Choosing the Sawyer Family Farmstead as their venue couldn’t have been a more perfect location.
Reid and Jeff kept the morning simple and opted to get ready surrounded by their friends. They all stayed at the venue to enjoy more time together. Reid’s best friends even did her hair and makeup the morning of the wedding. She wore a dress from BHLDN that was perfect for the venue. She paired it with a beautiful pair of lace Bella Belle Shoes.
Since they had already eloped, they opted for a tree ceremony instead of a typical ceremony. They asked Jeff’s brother Jason to share a few meaningful words while they planted a tree overlooking the stunning views of the pine trees and lake.
Guests were welcomed to the reception with champagne and a Scottish presentation during cocktail hour. To represent Jeff’s Brazilian Heritage, they gifted their guests with chocolate, coffee, and other goodies from Brazil in their welcome bags. Reid & Jeff also left film cameras on each table for their guests to take photos.
Their wedding was such a memorable evening. I’m so glad these two were finally able to celebrate their life together with all of the family and friends. It was well worth the wait!
